The exhibition Catalysis is an investigation into the colour green, the designated colour of the current Ordinary Time in the Christian Church Year. Here the grisaille of the gothic architecture of Hallgrimskirkja Church is met with an explosion of shades of green, ranging from the most furtile bright to the gloomy dark. Recognizable symbols and forms have been dissolved in a process that emphysis a fast and intuative approach to painting. The magnificent verticality of the church building is brought into a dialogue in an installation that stressed the horizontal. As darkness sets the top of the church tower will eminate green light visible from the exterior of the church. Appearing as an emittion of vapours from the green dissolution in the enterence hall.
